LSBU obviously take their ranking in this year's Green League very seriously to use it as the backdrop for the Secretary of State's speech there. Its been all over the BBC and other news channels all day. Very exciting, so just thought I'd share this, please pass on to anyone relevant :) Video on BBC website here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-10646119 Louise People & Planet----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------On-line : http://peopleandplanet.orgAddress : 51 Union Street, Oxford OX4 1JPTelephone : 01865 245678Registered company no. 3076463Registered charity no. 326008 -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Message-ID: <4C49BA3E.9000307@peopleandplanet.org> Hi All, Hope you're having a great summer now exams are over. Just a quick invite to see if any of you students at Degrees Cooler unis would fancy a free trip to Birmingham on 3rd August for a Degrees Cooler Day. It's an opportunity to represent your P&P group and meet up with all the environment managers, student union reps and Student Switch Off coordinators from all 20 Degrees Cooler unis. We'd like you there to share what you've been up to this year with the Going Greener campaign and your ideas for the coming year. http://peopleandplanet.org/goinggreener The NUS can cover travel costs for up to 2 P&P group members from Degrees Cooler unis to attend the event - the idea is to bring everyone together and share feedback on this year, and develop exciting plans for the next year (perfect opportunity if you weren't at Summer Gathering to find out what's going on this year). If you're interested and available to be in Birmingham from about 10am on Tuesday 3rd August, please get in touch with me by next Tuesday 27th July for details and to confirm travel arrangements. Best wishes, Louise p.s. the write-ups from the Summer Gathering Open Space on Transition Unis are now on the Facebook page, check it out here: http://www.facebook.com/transitionuniversities?v=app_2373072738 -- -- Louise Hazan People& Planet ------------------------------------------------ *Is your university Going Greener?* Find out inPeople& Planet's Green League 2010 , published on 10 June 2010 in Times Higher Education.
